Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We are a hobby farm set on 100-acres on the North Dandalup scarp, with a few sheep. You will find kangaroos, echidnas, sometimes emus visiting our property.
You can enjoy the great views into the horizon towards the Indian Ocean amidst the tall jarrah and gum trees. Campsites are set in the woodlands, some with views.
It’s perfect for people seeking 'quiet' time away, but still near to amenities in the towns around here. You can take walks to experience forest therapy, have a campfire or canoe in the dams during wintertime.
There is no power, water or toilet facilities so campers must be completely self-contained. You are expected to clear up and take all rubbish with you. Leave no trace.
The terrain is rather hilly, hence a few sites are accessible only by 4WD (Sembawang and Changi). There are some sites that are still accessible with regular cars (Opera 1, 2 or 3; Tampines, Bedok). RVs and small caravans are welcomed. All vehicles have to stay on the paths, and not to make any tracks.
The gravel road leading to our property is shared with neighbours who run horses. As such, please drive really slowly here so as not to cause the horses to bolt.
During the summer fire season, fires are strictly prohibited!
Dogs welcome (on leash).
Camping at 100 Acre Woods is all about finding your own serene corner in nature. Many campers appreciate the privacy and peacefulness, with plenty of space between sites. The views, particularly from spots like Opera 3, are frequently praised, as is the chance to spot wildlife from kangaroos to birds. Some campers noted the occasional road noise and the need for hardcore tent pegs due to hard ground, but overall, it's a favorite for a quiet retreat close to nature.
Wonderful serene 3 nights, easy access, will probably opt for Opera 3 next time as the views are fab, will be back early spring when we can make use of the fire pits. Highly recommend
Pretty perfect secluded little bush getaway
Because it mentioned "hobby farm" I did expect to see some animals around as I thought I had read that but I did go for a wander and see the sheep, this being said it was perfect for my well behaved dogs to kick back and hike with me where we found the low dam, being so hot the dogs really enjoyed the swim and we all enjoyed an outdoor shower later
Great for stargazing, if you take a walk down you can find some amazing boulders which is nice to find one you feel connected with, or that is just a beautiful height and enjoy the sunset through the trees down the valley - you will also see the kangaroos down there so make sure you have well behaved dogs
The site we chose was great for the sunset. Just managed to get ourselves level on the pad in a rear fold trailer. The rest of the site is mostly sloped.
We appreciated being able to take our two dogs. Just enough wildlife to enjoy. A few roos, birds of various calls and sheep next door in the paddock. A little road noise, but not too late into the evening.
We loved camping at 100 Acres, the Changi site was great for camping as a group. A little exposed to elements when the weather (ie wind picks up). Looking forward to. Coming back and trying some other sites.
