We had an absolutely fantastic time at this beautiful spot! The location is perfect—right by the water with easy access to swimming holes both upstream and downstream. There’s plenty of shade and open space.
Walking along the river was peaceful, and the sounds of the flowing water made for such a relaxing atmosphere. We also loved that it was tucked away in the bush, giving us a real nature escape.
A huge plus was that dogs are welcome! Our furry friends had a great time exploring, and we appreciated the pet-friendly environment.
Overall, this was an amazing experience, and we’d definitely come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a private, scenic getaway in nature!

There was a lovely strip of river about 250m away from the campsite that was still usable for kayaking for the kids and some swimming in early March, much needed as the days were warm and the evenings were cool!

The hosts were very helpful and provided great instructions. I would recommend screen-shotting these (including the gate code) to make the arrival process stress-free. It was for us! The site (4) is a great size, fairly level and well positioned from the other sites, giving a sense of privacy. The surrounding bushland is quite picturesque, and the river access was appreciated on a hot March afternoon. As others have mentioned, including the hosts, the noise from the nearby minesite is noticeable, especially in the tent at night. Perhaps it would be less noticeable in a caravan.

Rapid Corner
Fantastic camp, rapid corner is an awesome camp stay. Enough room for a few vans in the lower and upper sections , if your rooftopping or tenting call it party time as there is heaps of room and your well away from the main camp section. I had the place to myself and enjoyed the privesey. Super friendly hosts, awesome views up into the valley, winter time would be the best time to visit cos a campfire speaks campn !!!

We had a fabulous weekend at Murray Valley Camping. The sites are divided by bush which made it very private & swimming in the river was great! Will definitely camp here again :)
