We initially booked 2 nights at Tiny Secrets but extended another 2- the location was perfect for us to bop around to all the places we wished to visit on the Sunshine Coast- from Gibsons to Egmont. We liked that it was off the highway, quiet, and our site was tucked at the top of the property and received a lot of sunshine. A perfect and humble spot for a weekend getaway.

What a beautiful spot! The cabin was cozy for my family of 4 and a dog but was a great “in between” camping and an Airbnb. So many thoughtful touches the kitchen really has everything you need. The facilities were clean and shower water hot! We hiked every day with the Smugglers Cove a big hit. Truly a magically little area of BC. We will be back!

The whole property is like a magical little get away and the bus was comfy and cozy during the rain :) The owners were friendly and the dogs and chickens kept us entertained. 4 nights at Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat

We stayed in the A-frame micro-cabin for 5 days. We are already dreaming of our next visit! Despite getting the "atmospheric river" vacation treatment, it had virtually all the amenities you could ask for in for a rainy day of off-grid living. It was beautiful and felt quiet (minus all the chorus frogs at night :D) and luxurious. The hosts were responsive and friendly, we even got some doggo time as they let their dogs roam near the chicken coop. Couldn't ask for a better "glamp" experience!

I loved our stay on this magical school bus! Karen and Tito had the bus cleaned and ready before we’ve arrived. They provided us with clear instructions and a guide for our stay. Although I did not get a chance to meet them, they were extremely communicative through text to ensure we arrived safely. This is one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I also had the best sleep of my life! I would recommend this to everyone that is looking for a glamping experience.

Absolute dream staying at Christian’s for the weekend His introduction and story to his land and his vision for it was actually one of the highlights. We were also lucky to have the whole grounds to ourselves. Christian was helpful, communicated swiftly and was very hospitable. Will definitely be back!

Nice place, beautiful view of the night sky (if not, cloudy!), and we were isolated. There was a little bit of noise in the morning from dump trucks a few hundred meters away, but we didn't mind. Bring loonies for shower ($1/7 minutes) and washing was loonies plus quarters (I think it was 2.50 for a wash, but I didn't do any washing while there)

The bus is adorable and cozy! There were some issues, apparently caused by some recent inclement weather, but the hosts are incredibly sweet and were very responsive to fix things as they came up. The "magic sack" was an especially nice touch to help unwind, and that bed is insanely comfortable! Many thanks to Karen, Kito, and Amos.

We’ve stayed at Evonne & Darrell’s on a couple of occasions now and enjoyed our experience both times. They are wonderful and thoughtful hosts and their property is very beautiful and well maintained thanks to their hard work and dedication. The first time we camped and the second time we stayed in the little cabin. We loved both experiences and hope to come back again in the future.

We had a tough time getting there with the ferry and all, but once we got to the campsite and settled in, it was amazing. The site was pretty secluded. The people that were there were all really nice. The area was covered in snow which made it beautiful. My wife and I had a great time snow camping.

The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need. The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out. The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away. There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets. The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio Practice. Give Paige a ring if you’d like a tour, she’s usually working away. Our family lives on the top floor. Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts. Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, and a paddleboard. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. There's free parking at the pickup/drop off location in Egmont. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge. McAllister Creek Farm

McAllister Creek Farm is pleased to offer a unique and rustic country stay in our 24’ Yurt, Log Cabin Bunkhouse and Gypsy Wagon overlooking the pond. The yurt sleeps 3-4 with a king sized bed and futon, the Log Cabin sleeps 3 with a bunk-bed that pulls out to a double on the bottom bunk. Accommodations include the use of the Gypsy Wagon that serves as the Kitchen with full-size fridge, convection/air fryer oven, 2 electric burners and all kitchen accessories. Outside is a bbq and propane firepit. The washroom building includes an outhouse and shower with a view of the pond. Please note if you book either the Yurt or the Log Cabin there is a chance the other is occupied by other guests and the Washroom Building and Gypsy Wagon Kitchen will be shared. It’s a wonderful space to drink in nature and create some well-deserved peace and tranquility. You are welcome to stroll on the path along the pond around the farm and hang out with the herd of friendly goats and visit with the Scottish Highland Coos. For a limited time only there are lots of baby goats to cuddle! Your neighbours in the adjoining pasture Stanley and Ollie the resident donkeys will be your wakeup call. Let us know if you'd like to participate in any of the daily activities and we'll be happy to have you come along with us. The Yellowpoint area has a lot of great parks and features, within a short drive you can check out Yellowpoint Park for a nice walk through the woods, and if you want to see the ocean, Roberts Memorial Park, Cable Bay Trail and Blue Heron Park are all quite spectacular. Blue Heron is great for swimming in the heat of the summer as well, quite rocky so take water shoes. Exploring a bit farther away will take you to the top of Mt Benson in Nanaimo (a 900m hike) or WildPlay Nanaimo has a fun filled day of adventure courses. Local farm stands and artisans are in abundance. The Cedar Market just a few kms away has a great farmers market on Sundays and Duncan has their Farmers Market on Saturdays. Nearby restaurants are the Wheatsheaf Pub a local favourite located 12 mins away by car in the neighbouring community of Cedar. The Cranberry Arms pub is a bit further down the road from the Wheatsheaf and is great for a casual bite. The Crow and Gate is a very short drive away and is famous for its English pub charm. The Mahle House in Cedar is a higher end restaurant and Coco's Cafe is a great spot for a coffee or lunch. Its important that you have a great experience here at McAllister Creek Farm and we'll do everything in our power to make that happen.
