Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chair 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape and stay on the marked trails. Some are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution. Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog. During your stay with us you are welcome to come learn about and interact with our animals and daily farm life, if you so desire, and farm fresh eggs and maple syrup are also available to purchase too.

The kitchenette has a sink, bar fridge with small freezer, stove top convection over/toaster, drip coffee maker, single burner element and microwave. It is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes, coffee grounds, some spices and cooking oil. There is also an outdoor BBQ. The upstairs loft has Queen size bed, smart TV and clothing storage. All linens (sheets, towels etc. are included). The cabin is heated and we provide fans in the Summer months. We love animals but unfortunately our tiny cabin is not suitable for pets. Our cabin is strictly non smoking. We are passionate about tiny home living and leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible. The glamping tent is well equipped and has everything you need for a cozy comfortable stay including electricity! The outdoor kitchen on site has everything you need to cook a delicious meal. There are also hammocks, an outdoor shower, tables and chairs, and an extremely well-stocked site super clean outhouse. Lots of lakes in the area. General stores and gas within 5 minutes and the Grocery stores are within 15 minutes for all your camping needs. Provincial Parks Nearby: Wolf Island Provincial Park - 10 minutes, Kawartha Highlands Signature Park - 15 minutes, Quackenbush Provincial Park - 25 minutes, Petroglyphs Provincial Park - 30 minutes At night you will hear nothing but frogs, very private and very romantic. 7 acres of field, forest, pond, waterfall, rapids, swimming hole! There are no bad views! Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chair 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape and stay on the marked trails. Some are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. For the last 25 years we have lived here on our 6 acres of property where our Maple Sugar Bush allows us to produce our very own maple syrup every spring. [Side note: The sugar shack itself has been on the property for over 40 years.] We also raise a small but varied collection of farm animals, grow vegetables, and operate a 3 generation (Mother, Daughter, and Granddaughter) Artisan Craft Business, that sells handmade "Canadiana Themed" Home Decor goods and Maple Products at our local Farmer's Market. ( Visit us on Instagram or Facebook @Blackmaplefarm) Our Farm is located on the very edge of the Canadian Shield, so most of the landscape is a rocky, rugged, and naturally wooded. Throughout the property are numerous short, looping, walking trails that meander throughout the Sugar bush, pasture area, 3 season pond, and our farm animal "homes". These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers and plants, see and hear song birds, small animal wildlife and of course, farm life too. We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution. Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog. During your stay with us you are welcome to come learn about and interact with our animals and daily farm life, if you so desire, and farm fresh eggs and maple syrup are also available to purchase too.
