The property is literally right across the road from the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park which boasts amazing trails, views and features the Niagara Escarpment. The 4-acre pond/wetland is designated 'Provincially Significant' by the Ministry of Natural Resources and is an important part of the Nottawasaga Watershed. This area is renowned for its terrain - the fields are rolling and the views are quite special. You will enjoy a private firepit and private overlook at the pond with hammock. The site isn't visible from the road. Our house is visible from the site but far enough away as to not disturb one another. We have a newly added outhouse with lighting that will make your stay comfortable.

There are some paths and cleared sites but it is still just wild forest. This is best for experience backcountry campers or people looking for adventure or historic / anachronistic camping. There is an old fashion outhouse. No water or electricity or wifi provided. We are always improving and looking to host larger groups in the future. The land is relatively flat with mature trees and little undergrowth. Ground cover is mostly leaves and sandy soil. There are a couple small swampy areas that are beautiful in their own way with mossy rocks and woodland pools. There are mosquitoes, be prepared. One load of firewood provided - follow on wood is 7.00 a bag. We have many animals on site to visit before you check out, these include chickens, turkeys, duck, bunnies, cows, and many horses, including miniature ponies. Chairs also provided.
