Welcome to The Joshua Tree Hidden Tower Ranch! Situated next to hundreds of acres of desert preserve with access to trails through a forest of Joshua trees and junipers, this is your home base for exploring the backcountry of Joshua Tree National Park while being only a short distance to Downtown Joshua Tree and Pioneertown. This property is conveniently located within a 10-minute drive to grocery and services, 10-15 minutes to Downtown Joshua Tree and to the main entrance of the National Park. It's about 15 minutes to Pappy & Harriet in Pioneertown or 20 minutes to the Palms Bar & Restaurant. Other attractions (within 20-30 minutes) include: The Oasis of Mara at the Twentynine Palms Inn, Big Morongo Canyon Bird Preserve, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. And within a two hour drive, you could experience some amazing sites such Cadiz Dunes, Amboy Crater, or the Colorado River Resorts. This rustic, spacious, newly built cabin sits next to a one-hundred-year old water tower (a true historic landmark of California). The cabin was constructed in 2018 by the reputable architectural firm Hundred Mile House. The goal of the project was to build a free-standing cabin and preserve the water tower in most of its original state, so that guests can experience the unique historic setting of the property. Surrounded by a pristine desert garden just outside the Covington Flat entrance of the Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave Desert, this area contains some of the oldest Joshua Trees left. This quiet and truly wild desert setting of the cabin makes gazing upon the milkyway a favorite activity with guests. Guests can relax under the stars on the 2.5-acre property and experience dramatic views of the surrounding city lights, boulder-strewn mountains and dense Joshua Tree forests, as well as be greeted by an abundant of wildlife and perfect solitude. The bright and cheery living area features wooden walls and French doors that let in an abundance of natural light and air. Sleeping Area: A total of four guests can be accommodated with sleeping areas containing excellent views. Bedroom includes a queen bed, closet, wardrobe hangers, side tables and bedside lighting. Additionally, there are two twin beds that can accommodate two more guests in the living area. Bathroom: The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Towels and linens and hair dryer are kindly provided. Kitchen: The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything that guests might need to prepare their own meals, and a large wooden dining table to enjoy them at. (4-burner electric range, 10 cu ft. refrigerator/freezer; porcelain deep country-style sink; counter top appliances include: coffee maker; full set of flatware/tableware for 4 people; wine glasses; drinking glasses; salt/pepper, olive oil.)
