Smardale Mill Shepods are the perfect place to escape, unwind and relax. These modern style shepherds huts are tucked away in an idyllic setting in Cumbria. Situated on a working family farm there is always plenty to see and do. Each shepod sleeps two comfortably with the option of a further two guests on the sofa bed.

It was the most peaceful place to stay,surrounded only by animals. The shepods are amazing and clean . Buy the afternoon tea from Leanne as it was gorgeous

Outside vent flapped all night ( due to adverse weather ) could do with a buffer to make quieter. Better duvet ( tog light ). Also needed more storage for food items.

Smardale Mill Shepods The Ash

We absolutely loved our stay at Smardale Mill Shepods. We thought it was great value for money. Our host Leanne was super friendly and just a text away whenever we needed her. We loved the little touches such as the fresh eggs, Milk and toiletries. The pod was clean and homely, as well as having all of the facilities needed. The views were unreal and our only regret is we didn't stay longer. We would definitely recommend this staycay for couples with dogs looking for a relaxing get away

Smardale Mill Shepods The Ash

Lovely little ‘shepod’ in a beautiful area - great for exploring Yorkshire and the Lakes too. Lots of great things to do round and about. The pod is very cosy - well-equipped and comfortable. We really appreciated that we could cook (hob and microwave, kettle and toaster) and there is even heating and hot water on demand (for a lovely hot shower after a long day out walking). There is wifi, a tv and a little veranda to sit and watch sheep from! The pods are also dog friendly, which is another plus for us. We’d definitely love to stay again.
