Happy Trails farm is a beautiful refreshing place that you can relax, and connect with the family farm life. We were established Oct. 27th, 2007, and it's our "Acres of Diamonds" (Earl Nightengale). There are 20.11 acres of farm life to share with you. We do many things to help keep the farm going, and moving towards being self supporting. Such as pony rides, birthday parties, weddings, camp outs, and so much more. We sell fresh laid farm eggs for $5 cash a dozen. To purchase eggs, call or text Nancy (618)601-4645 Pony rides are $30 cash, and by appointment only. They are hand led, and approximately 20-30 minute. The child will be hand led around the farm. If you would like to schedule a ride please message Maryann @ (618)610-9282. We also house and run Happy Trails Horse Rescue (501c3) non for profit, and accept donations. Some of the things you will experience and see are: volunteers helping out; horses, mules, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, goats, llama, and many others. We are a small and important resource to the overall well being of the community. We look forward to seeing you on the farm! Check-in is between 2pm-9pm. No late night check-ins. Cancellations must be made by 2pm the day before your reservation. Happy Trails Farm Resort is a great place to get lost and find a connection.  We are a small homestead family farm with many farm animals. Come pitch a tent under the farm stars. Happy Trails :)

This campsite offers a charming blend of rustic farm life and convenience. It's a peaceful spot with lots of friendly animals like goats, horses, and peacocks that roam around, providing a unique experience for families and animal lovers. While the proximity to the city is a plus, some campers noted disturbances from nearby bright lights and road noise, which might affect light sleepers. Despite these challenges, the overall atmosphere is welcoming, with helpful hosts and easy access to St. Louis and local attractions.

Lovely farm
We‘ve enjoyed our brief stay at Happy Trails. Very calm and big area. The sweetest animals. Would recommend going there.

Beautiful place. Got my own fire pit and a table. Very quiet. What a place to see a sun set.

Cute little farm, unfortunately adjacent a walmart supercenter so not very private. Very friendly and tolerant farm animals. Didn’t try the portapotty, but the hand washing sink did not have water or actual soap. This site only has well water so be prepared to filter and boil anything for drinking or cooking. Would stay here again if I needed something close to St. Louis and wanted to see farm animals.

Great animals, hard to sleep
Overall had a great experience. The animals are adorable, sunset was beautiful, lots of chairs and such you can use. However, there’s some big facility across from the campsite that has lights that are insanely bright all night. Plus, it’s really to the loud train station. We couldn’t sleep.

It’s a really peaceful place and we love seeing all the animals. Just a super easy spot to get to and from STL—so happy we found it!

Be aware:
Authentic property tucked away in the St. Louis area. We really enjoyed seeing the farm animals and livestock in the area. Unfortunately, the common area fire pits & outdoor cooking pit were not made apparent to campers. Be prepared for many folks accessing the property at any time of the night (farmhands, volunteers, etc). The property is directly behind a Walmart so you will be able to see bright lights and hear trucks unpacking throughout your stay. We ended up leaving less than 4 hours into our stay due to a family of skunks surrounding our campsite and accessing the neighboring fields.
