I spent a long weekend at this beautiful little spot on my own with a swag and a marquee.
The weather wasn’t brilliant while I was there and admittedly my 2wd car did get stuck when it was time to leave, as the ground got quite sodden with rain, but I absolutely loved the spot. It did need a couple of days to dry out (as Damo did tell me before I came down) Damo was a brilliant host and checked in on me when I arrived and also got his mate from down the road to pull me out of the bog I got myself into.
I didn’t get to see the freshwater unicorn, aka Platapus that lived right where I was camping, but I’m sure I heard a few of her splashes.
The surrounding area is gorgeous to explore with mountain's, creek’s and waterfalls.
Keep in mind that if you’re after absolute solitude this may not be that spot for you, as the site is right next to a locally used road. It didn’t bother me, and it was a good base camp with plenty of privacy and I mostly found myself just relaxing under the trees and watching the creek gently flow by.
I’d definitely go and stay there again and would absolutely recommend it.
(Sorry about the boggy mess I left you Damo)😁
