Welcome to Kanga Clearing at Heinz Farm! Escape the rat race and get back to nature. Enjoy the calming and picturesque Australian countryside, only a short 50 minute drive from Canberra's CBD. This rustic and vibrant space, nestled on 120 acres, is quintessentially Australia. Wake up to the Kookaburra’s singing, watch as your furry neighbours including Wombats, Kangaroos and Wallabies fill their bellies and explore, enjoy your own private mini dark sky sanctuary. Feel like you’re the only people in the world. Kanga Clearing and it’s surrounds provide native habitat for a vast array of local wildlife. Bring your camera and binoculars! Kanga Clearing is really getting back to nature, no amenities are provided on-site. Guests must be self sufficient (toilet/shower) and all waste must be removed. Leave nothing but your footprints. Help us keep our native wildlife safe. Your four-legged family members are welcome however, must be kept on-leash at all times. Snakes are present and they are found throughout the region. Keep safe and be aware of your surroundings AT ALL TIMES. 4G and 5G coverage is available on-site and in the event of an emergency always call 000. While we encourage everyone to come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Kanga Clearing, you will need to travel on about 10 minutes of dirt road and on occasion, the road may not be suitable for small or low cars. Please note, in the event of severe weather, fire danger, or if any of the site rules are not followed, we reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time. No fires (of any kind) allowed when a total fire ban is in place. Fires are only permitted within the dedicated fire pit or an above ground fire box. Stunning site - highly recommend

We had a great stay at Kanga Clearing! Lots of kangaroos, wallabies and wildlife, and an amazing view of the sunset over the hills. Single large site which was incredibly peaceful - no neighbours, just what we wanted. Super close to Bungendore, and we ordered some of the hosts fresh scones with jam and cream, they were delicious. The host brought them down to the site for us for a picnic - great idea! Would definitely recommend and stay again.
