McKenzies Mountain is a tranquil campsite offering spacious and well-maintained sites with beautiful views. Campers appreciate its proximity to Murwillumbah and the friendly, knowledgeable host, James, who is always willing to lend a hand. While most reviews are glowing, a few noted that the toilets could be cleaner. Visitors enjoy the peacefulness, access to the river, and the opportunity to explore local attractions.
Our stay at McKenzies Mountain exceeded expectations! The campsite was very spacious, well-maintained and had beautiful views. James is a true bush entrepreneur who clearly values his campers. The site is only a 10min drive from the local town of Murwillumbah and lots of nice places to swim. We will definitely be coming back, and recommend McKenzies Mountain to anyone searching for a weekend camping getaway!
We had the Tea Tree camp, right on the edge of the river.
I was a beautiful spot.
The dogs loved being able to swim free without a lead!
We went exploring the area, there is lots a great things to visit not to far away. Very recharging weekend away!
Fantastic venue and a super accommodating host that will go out of his way to help you with everything from advice on bait for fishing to delivering you firewood.
Nice big sites and we can highly recommend spots on the river.
Amazing place, Amazing host and reasonable price. The toilets could be a bit cleaner but nothing big. Went there twice and will absolutely be there again
We loved our time at Jame's farm in Northern NSW. Besides having almost the entire camp to ourselves due to travelling in the off-peak season, it gave us a chance to explore the town of Wurwullimbah and the tiny village of Tyalgum. Highly recommended!
