Untill a couple years ago the acreage on this property had been farmed.In 2018 we decided give the farm land back to nature. It's amazing how quickly the land recovered! Our remodeled farm house was built in 1876. We've found many treasures on the property from past generations of farm families, everything from old bottles to horse shoes. We purchased this place in 2003 with hopes there would be grandchildren in the future and what a beautiful experience we could give them. Since then we've been blessed with a grand daughter and three grandsons. There is little to compare with the peace you feel in a quiet country environment like ours. Learn more about this land: We offer a nature preserve camping experience. Sunlight dancing off our expansive meadows of hiking trails is a tranquil site to behold.A multitude of song birds,butterflies and dragonflies make for a relaxing connection to nature. There are trails through cool wooded areas that will take you to to two ponds on the property. There is an elevated observation deck that over looks pine tree island from which you are likely to catch deer grazing at dusk in the cool evening air. Thank you Greg and Ruth! Your property is beautiful and we look forward to coming back. The mowed trails were lovely and the overlook provided nice place to get away from camp, have a cup of coffee, relax and enjoy the scenery. The stars were amazing! I recommend if there's any astrological event, camp here. Also, I'm always very concerned about ticks in upstate New York and didn't find one and had my dog with me. Lots of welcome critters though... deer, frogs, butterflies (monarch). I hope you continue to share your property. Tranquil meadows is the perfect name! Georgia (and Quin)

What a peaceful pleasant stay we had. Picnic table, lawn chairs and a fire ring with the kindling already in it. Couldn’t ask for better site or host. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks

This is the perfect place to unwind. Greg and Ruth are thoughtful hosts, and with miles of trails cut through the meadow and surrounding brush, there’s plenty to explore! The balcony area overlooking the meadow is a great place to read a book, drink a beer and do some birdwatching. Thanks for a perfect night away from the chaos of everyday life!

Absolutely perfect!!

If you are looking for a getaway that is still close to things….this is for you. It is absolutely beautiful and in the middle of nature. Greg is a great host and very accommodating!! His property is breathtaking and the trails are so nice to walk. He even has a gorgeous hideout in the trees with chairs to just relax in and enjoy the view!
