Learn more about this land: We welcome you to the Little Farm That Could! A mixed flower and vegetable organic market garden growing year-round on a small farm located in the Trent Hills. For five years now we have built gardens, cleaned out and repurposed the barn, set up a spa, and brought on animals to give them a peaceful home and close the nutrient cycle for our crops. The century old barn now acts as a common space for campers to relax and is a backdrop for our wood fired hot tub and spa. There’s a sports field to put in your activities and a washroom outfitted with running water, cold shower, and toilet. Be sure to ask about our spa package. Our wood fired hot tub is the perfect way to wind down and relax in the presence of nature and under a star lit sky! So come on by and get connected to a small farm! We look forward to seeing you :) Jen & MikeWe welcome you to the Little Farm That Could! A mixed organic market garden growing seasonal vegetables year-round on a storybook farm located in the Trent Hills. Your campsite looks onto a meadow and is neighboured by a winding creek in a small forest. Located beside the campsite is a volleyball court and open paddock to play some ground sports. Adding some comforts from home, we have outfitted the campsite with an outhouse that has a running toilet, sink, and shower (cold water only at the moment.)  Inside the century-old barn, you will meet our little friends. Two miniature ponies (Chudlowe & Arrow) Two sheep (Daisy & Annie) and our two Hens (disco & Lucy). Feel free to roam around the farm, take a look at small-scale organic market gardens, meet our crew, and most importantly, relax. Each Hipcamp camper will receive a complimentary basket containing what’s in season here at the farm :) We hope to meet you soon! Yours kindly, Jen & Mike

An Unforgettable Visit!
Tent
We had the most amazing time camping here! Mike really went above and beyond to look after us from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for more - it was great learning about the farm and meeting the animals during our stay, and waking up to fresh eggs from the hens was a real treat! Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars with the sound of wolves howling in the far distance was truly unforgettable and the highlight of an incredible experience in a beautiful setting. We hope to be back again soon next time we're in the area!

The Little Farm That Could!

Wonderful property! Fantastic animals and Organic gardens! Michael was the perfect host. An added compliment - Mike gave us a huge bowl of freshly picked organic vegetables from his garden. A very nice young couple with a baby on the way! A great stay! Highly recommend.

Amazing experience and hosts!
6 m pop-up camper · With pets
Our family absolutely loved camping with our young kids and dog at this farm! The kids loved fetching their eggs for breakfast and visiting the animals, and we loved the candle- lit, log fire heated hot tub at night after the kids went down for bed! Probably my husband’s and my favourite part. It was a gorgeous location, beautiful fields, quiet starry nights, and the barn with an old piano and vintage artifacts was a charming space to enjoy the rainy weather. Even the outdoor bathroom was clean and nice! The hosts were an incredibly humble, kind and welcoming young family, and now new friends of ours! We will be back for sure.

My wife and I loved staying at the little farm that could!!! Michael and Janny are the perfect hosts. Easy going, and friendly and they'll take the time to give you a tour or answer any questions. We were greeted with flowers and food from their garden! This is why we love hipcamp. It allows to connect with farmers, and discover their world. Thank you again for your hospitality! Oh, and they have lots of animals around the farm (horses, chickens, sheep, cats) we got to meet :). Strongly recommend.

Unplug and cleanse
Tent · Group trip
Michael and Janessa were such charming and warm people! Their farm is beautiful and their pride in ownership is evident. It was an outstanding experience camping at their functional farm for my son and his friends. I was told it was a "cleansing" adventure unplugging from technology, appreciating living off the land and of course the solitude, scenery and stars! Cannot thank Michael and Janessa enough and we WILL be coming back now that we know where you are!
