Come and enjoy this lovely property nestled in the Pacific Coast Range mountains, where Mill Creek meets the Alsea River. This modest farm offers the charm of chickens and goats, flowers, and forest. Just 40 miles from the coast and 40 miles from the I-5, this location is definitely a "get away" destination, but is only 1 mile away from the local general store. Travelers from the coast will enjoy the winding scenic byway highway 34 that follows the Alsea River inland, while folks looking to get out of town will appreciate the hop over Mary's Peak into a forest wonderland. The campsite sits in a meadow at the base of two lovely hills, and features a year round creek guests can access and camp next to. This recently purchased farm is still under ongoing development, so keep coming back to see continuing improvements and this lovely homestead get more whimsically charming and mystically delightful.Upper Meadow Camp is a flat, grassy landing just by the private drive for the farm. Closest to the privy, this site is ideal for car, van or small trailer campers as well as tent campers that want to be close to their vehicles. This site has a built fire pit (seasonally) and a picnic table.

This is a great spot! The showers were hot, the kitchen area to do dishes was super handy. And it was a great place to explore around with the dogs! Definitely planning to stay here again if we are in the area! Highly recommend.

10/10 GREAT site!!

Upper Meadow Camp was a fantastic stay!!! We stopped for what was supposed to be a couple of days along our cross country road trip. About an hour from alllllll things Oregon coast and most of the main must visit towns and sites! The town of Alsea itself is extremely charming and the perfect mountain town camping getaway, with a river running through the site and a waterfall hike a short drive from the site. Also 30 mins opposite of the coast are some adorable quaint towns with shopping, food, gas, etc. Aerica was the most gracious host. From helping us back our camper into the site in the rain with her big flashlight, to allowing us to stay extra days and helping us find a shop to use to help fix our camper after we ran into some troubles and gave great recommendations for nearby food and fun while we were stuck in Oregon for quite a few days longer than expected due to the camper repairs. Our extra time did NOT disappoint. I cannot say enough nice things about this site or Aerica, the host! 10/10 recommend staying here and experiencing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest !!

Super friendly host and was helpful when we had a electric truck issue. The place is close to a road but it wasn't too busy or disruptive. There is a creek at camp and Alsea River across the road. Great spot to camp, take a little river dip and hit up Alsea Falls for hikes or mountain biking!

The stay was for the most part lovely. There is a creek on the property and a separate river that runs by the campsite. There is a nice composting toilet on site. There is a big parking space provided for your car(s), a picnic table, and a fire pit with wood provided. The host was nice and gave advice on where to go and what to do with our free time. I think the biggest downside to the campsite is the fact that it is so close to a busy road. I did not realize this when booking the site and I wish I had known.

It's a basic camp site, but the creek down the hill a great place to hang out and throw rocks. And the river across street is a great swimming hole.
