Wild, rugged, and relaxing
2 wonderful September nights in the beautiful Raven's Roost campsite. We visited the observatory for the late night show and we're glad for a convenient, 10-min drive to return after it ended at midnight. This is classic eastern Washington forested landscape with nice areas for hiking.
The gravel pad easily accommodated our short Sprinter (and could have held my sister's Astro Van, too, if she had been able to join us). The huge tent pad was deluxe; we set up our table there since we didn't have tents, and could hold a shade tent in hotter months, too.
I noticed another camper's comment about the portable toilet location seeming far away, but I timed the walk twice and arrived in under 60 seconds from the Ravens Roost site, so about the same as most established campgrounds.
My only complaint is that there aren't any tables, but we worked around it just fine.
