Located only 10 minutes from Kalama, with its quaint shops and friendly atmosphere, our site provides easy access to all the conveniences of town while still offering a secluded and peaceful setting. Movie buffs will delight in the fact that our high school was the filming location for the first Twilight movie, adding a touch of Hollywood glamour to our rural retreat. Camp 2 in the trees

Beautiful location, arrived, and found that camp one was more what I was looking for. Small camping bluff over looking a mountain of trees, hawks soaring, campfire. Quick drive from Portland, very relaxing. I will definitely book again. Host was friendly!

Tree Nook and mountain views

Camp 1 - What a view

Both sites were available during my stay so I was able to settle in under the tree for cooking while we walked up the to the other site for the sunset. The area felt very private and safe, with the road being flat and accommodating for camper vans and cars. There are no amenities here but Meri was so sweet to come out and say hello, she told me all about their plans to ramp this up since its new to the area. You are a 10 min drive to the river so its a perfect spot for the weekend on the river or a stop over between Portland and Seattle!

Camp 1 - What a view

Would definitely recommend this property. Site 1, where we camped, is just inside the entrance to the property and is drive up. It has a great view of a wildflower gully and forested ridges beyond. The site is full sun, so a great choice for anyone coming in cooler weather or using solar. Their other site is full shade so probably better in hot weather. They provided fantastic kindling and fire kit, as well as a fire ring. Meri and Derrell were both friendly and unobtrusive. Meri brought us a lovely bouquet of wildflowers before checkout. This site is still being developed so I recommend bringing air mattresses or camping cots (we used cots) to accommodate the uneven ground. Great spot. Great hosts.
