A seasonal stream flows through forested wild lands to a 100-foot waterfall plunging over basalt cliffs into the Columbia River. Open meadows on two knolls frame a natural amphitheater. A rough road crosses the creek leading hikers and bikers to the town of Cathlamet (about a mile away) with its brewery, restaurants, and marina with self-service kayak rentals.

Bill's campground offers a well-maintained and peaceful setting for both seasoned campers and first-timers. The spacious sites are thoughtfully distanced to ensure privacy, with convenient amenities like a clean portable potty and an ample supply of firewood and water. While some campers noted minor road noise, the overall tranquility and natural beauty more than compensate. Bill's helpful presence and the proximity to town make it an ideal spot for a rejuvenating retreat.

The campsite was in a well kept area with a bathroom within a very reasonable distance. The ground was level and easy to put tent stakes into. The host provided wood for a fire if you desired. We were able to slide in and slide out without any issues. Would recommend staying.

First time using the app. The place was very nice & very spaced out from other campers. Host refills water each day & provides wood.

Nice, private spot, not far off main road with a few shops m, and generously stocked with water and firewood. Very cool to stay near the beginning of the Colombia, great breezes coming from the West. Would stay again - thanks

great landing spot for a night or two. the site we stayed at had lots of space and while we could see other guest we couldn’t hear them nor were we bothered by those around us. even our dog who normally can’t relax found lots of peace on Bill’s land. i highly recommend this site!

South Knoll was large and open. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. We appreciated that firewood and water were provided for each day. Town was very close but we saw deer and heard coyotes. It was a good first time Hipcamp experience.
