Having been featured in The Times ‘Top 25 New Glamping Sites in 2023’, Thirsk Hall Glamping is not to be missed! The site comprises five Luna Bell Tents set within the historic walled garden of Thirsk Hall. These bell tents are the perfect alternative to your usual camping trip and with less to pack and no tent to set up you will be able to enjoy a stress-free break away in the peaceful surroundings. This site is perfect for visiting with friends and family, located within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of Thirsk marketplace. Each tent is beautifully furnished and sleeps up to four people. Within each tent you will find three pin and USB charging points, bedside lamps, ceiling festoon lights, a picnic basket with cups, plates and cutlery and a kettle with teas and coffees provided. On site there is a toilet and shower block with flushing toilets, both indoor and outdoor sinks, hot showers, hairdryers and fresh drinking water. Each tent has its own outdoor seating area surrounding a fire pit for marshmallow toasting. A short distance from the tents there is a BBQ area to act as an outdoor kitchen during your stay. For added luxury guests also have the option to add one of our unique bundles on offer. The surrounding hills offer long hikes to Kinder Scout, Ladybower Reservoir, Bamford Edge and Stanage Edge, while history buffs can explore the ruined Roman Fort of Navio, just outside the village. Unsurprisingly, the area is awash with good campsites, between Edale, to the west, and Hathersage to the East. As always, only our very favourites make it onto the Hipcamp short-list.
