Overview

Set along the English Channel, Lyme Regis boasts beautiful beaches, crystal waters, and rocky cliffs. The town offers four main beaches along the Jurassic Coast to choose from—each with its own unique charm. Front Beach provides a family-friendly atmosphere with swimming and paddling near The Cobb harbour. Monmouth Beach, on the opposite side of The Cobb, is a mile-long pebble beach where campers can search for ammonites, belemnites, and fossilised plants like Mary Anning did. Church Cliff Beach is a smaller pebble and sand spot featuring hundreds of rock pools with an epic rock ledge. And East Cliff Beach marks the end of Lyme Regis with panoramic Jurassic Coast views and some of the best fossil hunting in the world.
