4 nights at Cwmffrwd Farm Campsite

Oh my goodness. This site was simply magical. We were blessed with beautiful weather, but I’m sure no amount of rain could take away from this beautiful place. Pridie clearly loves and cares for her land. The pitches are large and well laid out, maximising privacy, it was quiet when we were there but I imagine it never feels “busy.” A fire pit is a great addition and the wood bundle was brilliant value for money. The composting loos were fab, the shower facilities basic but clean and hot! Washing facilities were great with eco-friendly washing up liquid provided. Plugs with USB in the Byre (where washing facilities are) for charging your tech (but hardly any signal - bliss.) We missed Pridie’s walk but overheard a bit of one and chatting with her she is clearly extremely knowledgeable about the land she cares for and I would definitely sign up for a walk next time we go. So many beautiful walks on your doorstep, with helpful walks highlighted in the Byre for you to explore, which was really helpful and led to us discovering some stunning walks nearby. This will be one of the very rare sites which we will revisit.

We really enjoyed our stay. Andy was very friendly and helpful, even to the point of rescuing us when our car broke down! Lovely riverside pitch where we saw lots of birds, including a kingfisher and a heron. Very peaceful, would definitely stay again.

We absolutely love camping on Pridie and James’ land, it was perfect back to basic camping, compost loo and shower/wash room, plenty of space and outstanding views. We will 100% be returning especially when the sauna is built! This campsite was so peaceful and welcoming! The horse and sheep in the meadows next to your pitch are just incredible! Also worth getting a box or two of wood as the fires in the evening just top the day of perfectly! If you want a lovely refreshing weekend I can’t recommend this site enough! We didn’t want to leave!

Eden's Nook is such a peaceful campsite..full of birds during the day and star viewing at night. The facilities are great, including the barbeque hut and Jane and Neville couldn't have been more helpful. And Jane's breakfast is delicious! We'll be back!

What an amazing place and lovely people. The facilities are up there with the best, toilets showers and washing up area are lovely, also fridge and plug points. Stopped in the campervan for 2 nights, Snack bar on site if you wanted a sandwich,we had coffee, hot chocolate and icecreams yum yum. Short walk into the small town with quite a few shops to look around. Great place if you like walking. Stunning views.

Amazingly relaxing break. Lovely site with wonderful walks through the woods and across the nearby fields. Very peaceful and quiet site. The night sky was mesmerising. Compost toilets were clean, though a little cramped. Two portable toilet pods arrived on the second day and we're much appreciated. Cold water washing up facilities were very handy. Host was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the site for a relaxing get away.

Eden’s Nook is a beautiful retreat from day to day life, with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. I got a warm welcome on arrival and shown around the site, being the only one booked I was able to fully enjoy the indoor fire pit and bbq, the excellent showers and stunning scenery (the clear sky was something very special)! The site is well equipped with anything you might have forgotten and the hosts are lovely and helpful.

The Hollies was well directed using Google Maps- got an area just by the toilets and the showers (£1 for 5 minutes hot water)- only other people there were a couple with a large camper van and a dog on the Wednesday, so basically had the run of the place- lucky with the glorious weather- owners husband was friendly and helpful throughout the stay- showers : toilets modern and cleaned daily- well maintained grasslands, only looked to be one tiny boggy bit ( field 2 ) in the entire 6 acres- I prefer off peak times for stays, so this won’t be a reflection of holiday times/ weekends, but a fantastic 3 days nonetheless. Sweet Hill Farm is a great little spot. The views are what really make this camping spot - waking up every morning to the sea, Portland Bill Lighthouse and the horses in the field. We stayed in our van so had all we needed, but the site has toilets (port-a-loos), water for drinking and washing up and new shower blocks. There is a food and drink hut that offers fresh coffee, baked goods and cakes too. Family fun, friendly and part of an equestrian farm, there's also lots of other lovely animals happy in their habitat. A great campsite and perfect base for exploring the area and the coastal walks on offer :).

What an absolute gem! 💎 The site is beautiful, only a short walk to Portland Light house via a costal walk. Staff were friendly and really helpful and so was the beautiful owners dog. Our plans were to venture out to watch the rugby, but the on site shop and everything we needed, and decided to stay on site and admire the view. Ee can’t wait to visit again with the kids ( lovely play area and animals to look at) Showers were perfect and HOT ! We think we have found our “go to” site, and can’t wait to come back ♥️

Fantastic campsite, the host is really friendly and helpful, he gave us a warm welcome and was lovely with our dogs. The shower block is clean and well kept, and the washing up block is well maintained too. The site is tidy and clean, while not huge I felt we had plenty of space. We parked our small campervan on a hard standing site, and the rest of the site wasn’t particularly muddy. There were several other campers with dogs, everyone we encountered was friendly and clearly enjoying the wonderful quiet site! The site is a short walk or drive to Stockbridge, so if you need anything from the town it isn’t a hassle to get to. The town is worth a visit, so having a campsite in such close vicinity is a treat. I would highly recommend this site, I camp regularly throughout the year and this is one of the nicest sites I’ve visited.

Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Dogs: Must not to be left unattended. Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. The site can accommodate up to 5 caravans and 10 tents situated on a level 2 acre site within the beautiful rolling hills of Montgomeryshire in Mid Wales. There are hard standing pitches with electric hook-up as well as grass pitches with and without electric hook-up. There is also a field bordering a river which is used for wild camping - but you'll have to share it with the sheep! The toilet block has a family wet room with shower, toilet, wash hand basin and baby changing unit, a separate toilet, shower and kitchen area with freezer. A small family run site in Weston-on-the Green village located with a local pub 5 minutes walk away and on site cafe. The site also has newly refurbished toilet and shower facilities. Amazing location to access Oxford city and easy access to M40 (Junction 9). Good things await for those who grab a berth at Weston Caravan and Campsite, in the Oxfordshire village of Weston-on-the-Green. For starters, space seekers should be pleased to see that there’s plenty of breathing room around this former dairy farm – excellent news for kids or dogs that need a bit of haring-about time after being cooped up in the car. Depending on where you’ve plonked down you may find that your nearest neighbours are the resident beef cattle, sheep or horses; it’s worth keeping your eyes open for sightings of the hedgehogs that often scuttle about the place too. Perhaps most crucially for those whose stomachs dictate a site’s success is the presence of a café that serves up a tempting range of freshly cooked goodies: breakfasts (no rush – they’re served all day), salads, cakes and coffees, plus cheeses, pies and the like to take away. And the crème de la crème – literally: homemade ice cream in up to 16 (yes, a lipsmacking 16) different flavours. Evening appetites can be sated with a barbecue out on the field, or trotting off to the local pub five minutes’ walk away. The site added a new toilet and shower block in 2018. The village is just a few minutes’ drive from the A34 and Junction 9 of the M40, making it both a useful stopover on cross-country voyages and a handy spot for Oxfordshire breaks (perhaps taking in Oxford, Blenheim Palace or bagging bargains in Bicester).
