Swimming and sunbathing during the summer is only half the story at Fair Haven beach. This spot on Lake Ontario adjoins Little Sodus Bay for a cozy, secluded beach. Locals love the place to cool off on a hot summer's day.
If swimming isn't your thing, outfitters rent row boats, paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks. Bring your fishing gear to catch a fresh dinner to enjoy at camp. Look out onto Lake Ontario to see ships in the distance transporting goods.
Explore hiking trails in the surrounding hills. Picnic areas and pavilions provide shaded areas to eat lunch. Swing your bat, throw a football, or kick a soccer ball on the adjacent ball fields. If clubbing is your thing, this place has an 18-hole golf course.
