The Fauld is a small hill farm located close to Tobermory in the north-east of the stunning Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. In total, the land comprises around 150 acres - although most of this area tends to be grazed by our Highland ponies and Shetland/Cheviot sheep. In spring and summer, there are wild flowers and birds galore, and bracing fresh air is on tap all year round - as are the spectacular coastal views from the top of the hills. The farm lies within walking distance of the iconic and colourful fishing port of Tobermory, which offers a range of shops, cafes and pubs - as well as being home to the Tobermory Distillery at Ledaig. If you have a car, we can offer off-road parking for a couple of vehicles, and we also have parking space for two campervans (though we do not have water or electricity connections yet). PS: You are advised to come equipped for camping in wet conditions whatever the season - although we promise that the weather can be lovely too! We look forward to welcoming responsible, country-loving campers to The Fauld :-)Park your motorhome or pitch your tent here at The Fauld and you'll enjoy the perfect blend: there are stunning views over the wild landscape of the farm but it's not too far to walk into the nearby town of Tobermory, where there are numerous shops and restaurants. There's fresh air aplenty here on the farm - plus you may well encounter our friendly Shetland sheep and catch a glimpse of our free-roaming Highland pony herd in the distance. They - and we - look forward to welcoming responsible country-lovers to this unique corner of north-east Mull.

Karen & Alexander were nothing but a joy to meet and were very welcoming 🙏 The surrounding area is totally beautiful and the I knowledge that Karen had about the land and animals was nothing short of Inspiring, We cant wait to stay again one day, Thank you for helping make our time in Scotland so special 💚

A little slice of paradise

We loved our stay at the Fauld. It felt like wild camping on a little slice of paradise. Amazing views from the ridge line above the field and the peaceful company of sheep and ponies. Karen was very welcoming and friendly. Many thanks for sharing your beautiful land with us.

The Fauld - Isle of Mull

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Karen and Alister are wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcome on their farm on the headland above Tobermory. Facilities are simple and clean and the camping field is ideal, with the town 10 minutes walk away. And not a midge in sight whilst we were there. The guided tour of the estate was really fun - we learnt lots about the history and the animals and flora with lots of laughs along the way. We arrived as strangers and left as friends - thoroughly recommended
