Camp amongst the trembling aspen trees on our 5 acre property, just a few minutes east of Hinton, Alberta. Hiking and mountain biking opportunities abound! Nearby Jasper National Park makes an excellent day trip. For history buffs, our property is located between two former transportation corridors: the original Trans Canada highway and the Canadian Northern Railway. Explorer David Thompson led his expedition through this area in the 19th century. Coal mining history surrounds our town and county- many days can be spend exploring the ghosts of the Alberta Coal Branch! This site includes a fire ring, picnic table and a 15A electric hookup. Enjoy our two rescued historic Alberta transit coaches! Red Deer Transit 7115 and Edmonton Transit 429 arrived in 2023 and 2024, their resurrection is ongoing. Both attend car club events regularly.Park your rig in our cleared grassy site amongst aspen trees.  The site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Pets welcome! We can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length and the site is flat. 15 amp Electrical hookup is available.  Enjoy seeing elk and deer pass through our property 3 minutes east of Hinton, Alberta. Spend days exploring the Alberta Coal Branch, the Cardinal Divide, and Jasper National Park. Our property is between the pre-1970 alignment of the Trans Canada Highway 16, and the long-defunct Canadian Northern Railway grade.   Mountain views to the west beckon further exploration! We are 15 minutes from the East Gate of Jasper National Park, and just down the road from Mary Reimer Park, known for its rodeo grounds and baseball diamonds. New for 2024 is an included rock painting station, and available farm fresh chicken and duck eggs!

Nice Spot!
18 ft campervan
This was a nice overnight spot for what I needed. Adrian was great with communication. I came through the same time as the Jasper NP fire and he updated me a couple times to make sure I could get to his place. He was also flexible in a parking spot as it’s started to rain heavy. I had trouble connecting to his WiFi, sent him a text and he had one of his kids come out immediately to help and got it going. Great host, nice spot, and I certainly recommend.

Great place to spend a few days! The family was very welcoming and let us see their ducks and chickens. Would recommend to anyone looking to get out of the hustle and hustle of the parks and really relax.

We had a late arrival and, with the fog, this didn't help us to find the place straight. The owners were kind and helpful, we are very grateful to them as they help us to connect our camper after arriving that late. Good place to stay!!!
