We have seven beautiful acres just outside of the small town of McKinleyville. Our wooded property is about a mile from Clam Beach and surrounded by idyllic horse ranches, sleepy country roads, and lazy cows grazing in the fog. The site is below towering fir trees draped with hanging lichen and full of bird song.
This campsite offers a peaceful retreat with lush surroundings and close proximity to the beach. Many guests appreciated the privacy provided by the trees and bushes, as well as the clean and well-maintained amenities like the bathroom and fire pit. However, some found the noise from a nearby airport disruptive at night. Overall, it's a well-equipped spot ideal for a relaxing camping experience.
This is a perfect spot for a chill upgraded camping experience. The parking space was leveled perfectly for the 21 foot camper van we brought. One of us slept in the van and the other in the little camper cabin provided by the host. The site is private though the hosts are not far if you need anything. The chimnea, picnic table, and string lights make for a great campsite. We sat in chairs around the fire and listened to music. We liked it so much we came back for a second night.
My boyfriend and I were very lucky to find this serene and cute tiny home. I would stay there again if I come back to the town. It was very comfortable and warm place.. it is tiny, but it has everything we needed on the road.
The nearby airport makes this spot just about impossible to sleep at. Otherwise everything was great from the cute bathroom to the wonderful fire pit and nook.
