We are an organic working farm blessed with panoramic views of the Peak District and stunning sunsets to the west. Our aim is to make the rural countryside and working farms more accessible to the public, providing eco-friendly experiences that facilitate healthy living for you and our natural world. From the ethical cleaning products we use to the recycled renewable materials and the reclaimed artisanal interiors, we strive to keep our footprint small while showing how the simple life can be bliss, and luxurious!Willow is a spacious 20 by 20 foot yurt that sits at the edge of one of the farms largest fields, next to a willow orchard, boasting a vast open field space and spectacular views of Thorpe Cloud. The traditional Mongolian yurts were made on New House Farm itself! Willow is the perfect retreat for couples and families. You can add additional guests to your booking up to five in total (six on request). Inside Willow, there is a comfy double bed, double futon, and single futon, as well as a log burner to keep you toasty. There is a kitchenette inside with a double electric hob and mini fridge. The kitchen is set up with pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, teapot and coffee maker. Outdoors there is a large firepit and seating. Willow has its own sustainably made compost loo and a drinking water tap sink just outside, and a warm spacious shower unit just a few yards away. We are an organic working farm and campsite too. We recommend looking at our website - you can find us at New House Farm, Kniveton, Derbyshire.

Quiet cosy country camping
With kids
Beautiful place. Very friendly people throughout the farm. Willow yurt was our little home for October half term. The Yurt itself was basic (which is what we needed with two young kids). Double and single futons were comfy for the kids and the double bed was really comfy too! We kept it super cosy with the log burner. Plenty of logs and kindling provided. We loved the fire pit outside too. Our car was too low to make it up the slope to the yurt so we left it at the bottom and ferried our stuff up. Which didn’t bother us at all. We were given a tour of the farm (on request) and also put in touch with the owner of the two beautiful Icelandic horses. She was so kind and allowed us to meet them and even have a ride! We also met the goats, geese, sheep, cows, chickens and cockerels (be warned these guys make themselves known from about 4.30am!). We had a brilliant time and would definitely think about coming back.
