Rosebud Ranch offers romantic glamping stays for two on an alpaca farm in Devon. A single bell tent is set up here with everything you’ll need for a relaxing stay surrounded by the sights and sounds of an organic, eco-friendly smallholding. You’ll find it tucked down country lanes deep in the rural Devon landscape that separates Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks. It’s a perfect place to get away to for a quiet break or, perhaps, to use as a base to explore all aspects of North Devon.
The ranch and your stay have both been put together by Lucy and Nick. They make you very welcome then leave you to enjoy the little hideaway they’ve created. It consists of a four-metre furnished bell tent bedroom, a rustic outdoor kitchen, a compost loo and a lovely wood-fired outdoor bath. There’s a fire pit as well for evenings around the campfire. Everything is designed to keep you well connected to the outdoors. You can hear the hoot of owls from the neighbouring woods at night, you can bathe while looking up at Devon’s starry skies and only need to unzip the tent to see who is grazing in the fields around you.
You may not want to leave this rural retreat for the duration of your stay… but there are some things worth exploring that are not too far away. The friendly local pub, The Grove Inn, is one, Quince Honey Farm is another. There’s horse riding and fishing opportunities nearby too. And, if you don’t mind 20 minutes in the car, you’ll find yourself in Exmoor National Park.
