For an authentic glamping getaway in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, Glamping West Midlands is the perfect destination. The stately grounds of the grand Mere Hall set the scene perfectly for a weekend of relaxation. With the sights and sounds of rampant wildlife filling the reinvigorating country air, the centre-piece of this idyll is undoubtedly the farm’s tranquil lake. The surrounding smallholding is home to a whole host of convivial critters including sheep, cows, geese, chickens and llamas – yes, llamas!
The site is home to two beautifully-crafted twin Mongolian yurts, a shepherd's hut and a converted horse box – which offers the teeniest of tiny house living. All are kitted out with comfort in mind but it's the yurts which provide the most space. The wood burning stove turns them into a cosy nest of loveliness while the air vent prevents things from getting too stuffy. Affable campsite proprietor, Chris Armstrong, is happily on hand in the evenings to make sure your stay is completely hassle-free. Her carefully put-together welcome pack includes all the essentials for your stay.
Should you need any other bits and bobs or advice on places to visit (of which there are countless - this is the Midlands remember!), just give Chris a shout. And with just a handful of glampers on site at any time, you’re free to enjoy your new nest in perfect peace and quiet (bar the odd bleating llama!).
