The glamping site at Brightwell Country Park is surrounded by things to do; there’s fishing right outside, country walks in every direction, and mountain bike trails in the surrounding trees. Yes, this is the famously flatlands of Suffolk. And, yes, you read that correctly. This site is within one of the only MTB parks in the East of England. And it's home to a handful of glamping options, including a fully accessible cabin, which makes the idyllic riverside meadow welcoming to all.
Alongside the cabin, there are four bell tents, each kitted out for three or four people with made-up beds. They each sit on their own level deck, with seating and a fire pit outside and a camping stove for cooking on. Other facilities are shared in a timber cabin in the meadow. There’s a communal kitchen, a couple of bathrooms, and an accessible wetroom. It all makes for an easy way to stay in the outdoors; camping without having to bring the tent or much else at all.
That’ll leave more room in the car for the fun stuff: your fishing gear if you want to try your luck in the two stocked ponds on site (one has an accessible fishing jetty) and your bikes. Though if you don’t want to bring those either, both can be hired on site. Day tickets for fishing or Twisted Oaks MTB Park, in which the site sits, are available to book in advance. There’s secure storage on site for your bike and the blue, red and black trails are only a pedal away. For days out further afield, the Suffolk coast at Felixstowe is about seven miles away as is the lovely market town of Woodbridge and Ipswich is not much further.
We offer glamping experience in the beautiful Suffolk countryside for all ages and abilities. The glamping yurts are located within the Twisted Oakes Mountain bike park that offer day passes for those wanting to ride. There is also fishing and nature walks on site, as well as a cafe and shop.
