Public beach is less than 2 mile drive. Best fishing area. Is 1 mile. This is a quiet sanctuary, previously a children’s day camp behind our house.
There is a 2 night minimum and only 4 people per sight. Our sights are small and limited since our land is very hilly and only has a composting toilet.Camping inside or outside fenced cleared area. Fires only in premade fire pits. Very close to Lake Lemon. There is a public beach and boat launch just over a mile down the road. There is no water at the sight now. There is a composting toilet enclosed in the shelter house. The Shelter house has a picnic table and seating. Our property adjoins it on the other side of the railroad tracks.

The location was great for viewing the eclipse. I have given Sura some suggestions about our campsite needing drainage. There is a train track close by but the schedule seemed to be okay with one in the mid evening and one in the early morning. We enjoyed being close to Lake Lemon and walking the woods.

We had a great time! The host was kind and accommodating. The sites were nice and flat and were away from the car area, so it was quiet during the nights without any headlights beaming into our tent. This place is right next to lake lemon but is quite secluded considering the nearby area! Lots of birds to see!

Loved this place! Camping here was great, and Sura was lovely and checked in on everyone often. The bird song of southern Indians was a lovely wake up call in the morning. Very hilly and muddy, especially after the rain, so 4WD recommended. Overall, lovely time and got to meet some great people around the communal campfire. And the composting toilet was really neat!

Sura is a wonderful host and her wooded property is beautiful! Lots of trees and perfect for hammock camping and also has leveled areas for tents. Parking is close to the entrance so a small wagon for hauling gear to the camp sites is helpful if you aren't car camping at the top of the property. Very nice hiking trail and short walk to local pub. We had a great time! Thanks Sura!
