Nestled at the base of the majestic Blue Mountain, our property offers a great opportunity to camp with just a brief 0.23-mile stroll to the trailhead, granting easy access to trails awaiting your exploration. Trailside Convenience: The convenience of having a trailhead within reach, complete with a pit toilet. Our site: Camping within city limits of Missoula is limited to the KOA. Our site is perfect for those wanting a convenient place to camp with plans to head out to the trails or to Missoula. Our home is nestled on one acre with Ponderosa pine trees, Aspen, and Birch. We are located in a neighborhood and we have two kids and two friendly dogs. There is a photo of how close our site is to our house letting you know that when the Aspen trees have no leaves, the site is not as private as when they do. Perfect Balance: Located just 1.5 miles beyond Missoula city limits, our site strikes the perfect balance between access to nature and the city. Start your day with a refreshing hike, revel in the natural beauty, and then seamlessly transition into town for the city's offerings, all within easy reach. Whether you seek a quiet morning walk along scenic trails or desire the vibrancy of city life, our property serves as the ideal base for your Blue Mountain adventure. Experience the best of both worlds at Blue Mountain BaseCamp !Where nature meets convenience. Our camping spot is located on our 1.12 acre lot with our main house on a quiet dead-end street amidst a neighborhood of seven houses. You'll find access to water from our house and optional electric hookups for added convenience. Seclusion from the main house is provided by a half wall and row of Aspen trees. Enjoy our site, knowing that occasionally, bears wander through our neighborhood. This site is a wide, back-in site. Just a short 0.23-mile stroll from Aspen site lies the trailhead and the convenience of a pit toilet. Access an extensive 41-mile single-track trail system right from our doorstep. Additionally, a suburban bike trail conveniently connects you to downtown Missoula, offering the perfect blend of camping, outdoor recreation, and urban exploration. Your Camp Hosts: As fellow camping enthusiasts, we understand the importance of providing an alternative for campers in Missoula who want to explore nature and have convenient access to our wonderful city. We also have 2 friendly dogs and 2 school age kids.

Nestled close to Missoula, this campsite offers campers easy access to both nature and city amenities. Many guests appreciate the convenience of nearby trails and the friendly hosts, though some mentioned challenges in parking or uneven terrain. The area tends to be quiet, but a few reviews noted disturbances from sprinklers and dogs. Despite occasional hiccups, this spot seems to serve well for short stays and local event-goers.

Really uneven parking spot. Kids toys all over and dogs running free, barking at us all morning. Not a great spot at all.

Convenient with no frills
26 ft campervan
We parked our campervan on Amanda's property for 3 nights. The site was very easy to find. We were visiting family in Missoula and this location was so convenient for us. As other reviewers mention, the pit toilet is located .25 miles away at the Blue Mtn local park, but that was OK for us. That park is a real gem and was worth visiting.

Great for a 1 night stop in Missoula. Nice spaced out neighbourhood very close to walking biking trails. Amanda was super friendly and gave us space. A bit hard to get our 20 ft trailer even on her slightly hilled yard but it wasn’t too bad.

Perfect sports’ family spot
26 ft travel trailer · With kids
Awesome convenient spot for a kid’s sports tournament at Ft Missoula! They were helpful getting us in and settled, and the spot was quiet, easy to get to , and perfect for a place to lay our heads during a long weekend! Wish we’d had a chance to hike nearby.
