Ananda means Bliss in Sanskrit, and that really is what you'll discover here, with lush, level paddocks perfect for pitching a tent or parking a caravan. There are 70 acres of forested areas to reconnect with nature, and a creekside shelter with gas BBQ, table and chairs to come together. Discover large swimming holes with resident platypus, an abundance of birdlife for keen bird watchers, find pretty waterfalls, borrow the kayaks for a paddle, or bring along your mountain bikes. We offer two sites only, with each group having several different areas to choose from, where you'll have your own space away from other campers. There is the option to camp by the creek but only when it's dry, or if you have a 4WD/AWD. Plenty of other options for 2WDers to choose from though! So please check the weather for goonengerry, if it's very wet I suggest trying another date. We don't offer a toilet, so you must be fully self-contained and take all waste with you. We have a shared access road and would like it kept quiet, so please come prepared so you don't need to come and go. Trust us... once you are in this natural paradise, you won't want to leave! We provide metal braziers and firewood for your own private campfire. No pets, please. 6 minutes to Federal, general store and cafe. 15 minutes to Mynon Falls. 20 minutes to Mullumbimby. 25 minutes to Byron Bay. 25 minutes to Lismore.Ananda means Bliss in Sanskrit, and that really is what you'll discover here, with lush, level paddocks perfect for pitching a tent or parking a caravan.  There are 70 acres of forested areas to reconnect with nature, and a creekside shelter with gas BBQ, table and chairs to come together. Not private - didn’t stay
16 ft car
The road was difficult to get to the place. Once arrived they wanted us to park next to a house, which had 5 cars parked outside. Didn’t end up staying as my partner didn’t feel safe & didn’t receive a refund.

Private but strange vibes
Tent · Group trip
Although elements of it were beautiful (kayaking down the creek and the solitude) - this spot is definitely not what was advertised. Dirty furniture / chairs / couches that I wouldn’t want to use, a very old BBQ that didn’t look usable, no portable water though it said it was provided.

Not what was advertised
Tent
This listing was not updated with current images of campsite. Additionally no mobile reception to communicate with host. It appeared to be more of a party/rave site then the tranquil camping photos advertised.

Not a land of bliss
Tent
This place was not what was advertised- the undercover area was full of old dirty furniture and the area had remnants of a previous party - including a large sound wall that definitely didn’t make you feel like you were in the land of bliss ! The pile of pallets interrupting the view and the old hot tub laying about also didn’t create a get back to nature vibe- we did not feel comfortable or safe staying there!

Thanks Roderick for an amazing weekend away! We had a group of 6 celebrating my partners birthday, and were so pleased with the location and space that we had here. We will be back!

It’s a fantastic spot - Roderick is really helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend getting out on the kayaks!
