A tranquil 85 acre property with multiple options for your stay, along the banks of the Talbragar River or by wooded areas bordering the beautiful Scrubby Creek. The sites are self-service with no amenities currently available, so best suited to those happy to be self-sufficient and with a 'leave no trace' approach. All sites offer bushwalking options (maps can be provided via email), an abundance of native flora and fauna including wild birds, the occasional echidna and wombats. You'll also find sheep and cattle meandering around the paddocks, along with our horses and free ranging peacock. We also have a super friendly kelpie and dachshund pup making the farm feel complete. Dogs are welcome & we have stables or individual paddocks available if you'd like to bring your equine friends (no riding on the property due to insurance). Only 15 minutes to the centre of town & is a great base for your visit to Dubbo. Located on the Mudgee side of Dubbo, it's an easy place to pull up on your travels and we look forward to your visit. This campsite is a peaceful haven for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Campers consistently appreciate the privacy and natural beauty, with sites offering lovely river views and plenty of shade. Many mention the ease of access and clear directions, making it a trouble-free stopover. While most experiences are positive, a few noted minor issues such as early morning noise from nearby activities.

Campsite 3
Tent · With kids ·
Campsite 3, 2 adults and 2 children. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, travelling Brisbane to Dubbo to visit the zoo. Each morning the 2 horses would come up to us for a pat and a Willoughby's jumping through the camp. Campsite 3 was the last sit so was a little more private and tucked in away from everyone else. There is lots of space between each campsite.

Fantastic, quiet little spot!! River was beautiful. There were other campers on the other sites but you weren't disturbed by them.

Australia Day long weekend 2025
Site 1 has plenty of room, nice shade from a large tree at the site. Campsite directions are clear and easy to follow. Other campsites are adequate distance away. Nice river nearby to fish or just sit and relax. The path to the river is clear a has been mowed so snake visibility is better than most areas near rivers. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Best place on hipcamp!

Absolutely awesome place to stay. We are fully self contained and it was an absolute dream to be able to pull in there after a long day on the road, take the dogs down to the creek, and relax. Site 1 was level, shady and absolutely breathtaking. I far prefer to camp by myself than be stuck in a caravan park near other people, and my dogs are working dogs and don't appreciate cramped caravan park life either so this place was a godsend. I'll be staying here every time I make a run up to the family sheep station from now on, I only wish I could have spent longer. Highly recommend to any and all self contained campers!

How’s the Serenity?
8 m travel trailer · With kids ·
Great spot on the river bank. We used this as our base to visit the Zoo. Beautiful setting, all 3 sites are private from each other and all 3 are located with private views of the river. Only down side was the directions to arrive from Dubbo didn’t mention having to turn left onto Boothenba Rd before turning right onto the Old Mendooran rd. But good ole NSW country hospitality soon put us on the right track. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if we travel back through the area again.

The serenity of the property and overlooking the river was just bliss. The horses just nearby was a nice country touch also.
