All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
54 hectares of virgin native forest in the Bundjalung lands of north west NSW. Abundant birdlife native wildlife and bushwalking opportunities. Duck Creek is natural, quiet and peaceful. Perfect for the ardent photographer, birdwatcher or camper. You will be amazed by the natural splendour of the forest. Dog friendly. No amenities so campers need to BYO toilet and leave no trace. 4WD access only. 2WD can get stuck in wet weather. However, 2 wheelers are ok, Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Recently there has been a discovery of Koalas in our backyard. Koalas are listed as a "vulnerable" species under the State and Federal legislation. This is due to the continued decline of our native forests and land clearing. So we take our property seriously and protect this native environment. We are a bit fussy, but not really. This property has been a 21 year labour of love. I moved from the Gold Coast 7 years ago, so I know the difference between being a "Diva" and a "cow girl" I live and work in the area as a Aged Care Nurse. The weather has been a challenge, however my best friends apart from my Frankie the wonder dog, is my tractor and ride on lawn mower. Give us a try we are not expensive! Have fun and enjoy the serenity.!Uncomplicated, peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Previous campers were delighted with the surroundings, the serenity, the isolation for a few days, and the birdlife. Duck Creek is natural, quiet and peaceful. Tent
Cheryl's property is an absolute dream; lush forests, no road noise, plenty of room to set up a tent (or ten for that matter!). We fell asleep to bird calls and could easily have explored for days if we had more time. Cheryl made sure the area was slashed and ready for us to set up, made us feel welcome from the beginning. I'd highly recommend a visit; do yourself a favour and book a week in if you have the time.

Great spot to park up my camper trailer and be totally away from everyone and everything. Parked my camper under some shady trees with plenty of options to walk around the property amongst the tress or forest. Stars at night were amazing and Cheryl was just lovely.

Lovely Stay at Duck Creek 👌
5 m travel trailer · With kids
Cheryl couldn't be a better host and had lots of camping areas mowed and ready for us to to set up at. The nature setting and privacy (the only guests on site) were a treat and we had a brilliant stay. The kids loved adventuring down to the little waterfall and paddle pool in Duck Creek and definitely want to go back! Be aware mobile coverage is very limited if that's important for you.

We had a magical time on Cheryl’s property. We stayed down the bottom end by the creek, secluded, shady and peaceful. Will definitely stay again. Cheryl and Matt were awesome hosts who made sure we were happy.

Had a wonderful time camping at Duck Tales. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot that we plan on returning to. Cheryl was so friendly and accommodating, and took us for a walk to the creek on the property. Highly recommend!
