All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
Sheep and cattle, cropping, irrigation and pasture enterprises, pursuing animal welfare and environmental biodiversity.
"Quamby" is a family owned and run properly on the banks of the Murrumbidgee. From frost to summer gold and every green, grey and move in-between, the picturesque views are inspiring.
Lake Leighten's was a quarry before being revegetated.Camp on banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Surrounded by sand banks of what was once a sand and aggregate quarry, this has now created a large flat open area perfect for camping. Floods have deposited sands and seeds, resulting in small Casuarina forests with large river red gums.
There are multiple fantastic swimming spots including some rapids.
The openness of the sight, the surrounding ancient river red gums, the view up the river and the sound of the birds coming home to roost in the afternoon are all what make this a coveted camping spot on our farm.

We had a great weekend at Lake Leighton. Camped in tents and swags. Plenty of room. Great swimming in the river.

Great spot right on the river. Large site plenty of room for a few large vans. Loved the privacy no one in sight. Plenty of firewood around. We will definitely be back!
