Welcome to Meringo Beach Camp! Located on 100 acres of private beach-front farm land, this camp is perfect for couples, families and friends looking for privacy, basic camp facilities and direct beach access. Enjoy the beautiful South Meringo beach, Honeymoon and North Meringo beach a short stroll away. Your campsite is surrounded by beautiful red gum trees. It features a shared bush shelter complete with a BBQ, solar powered lighting, and tables for meals. You will also have access to simple amenities, that use spring-fed dam water. Campers will need to bring their own drinking water. This site is on a working family-owned and run farm currently running sheep. It has long been a special gathering place for family and friends for more than 40 years, and is now available on Hipcamp. The camp also sits on the famous Bingi Dreaming Track, a beautiful coastal walk that stretches from Congo Beach to Tuross Head. Moruya is the closest town, a 15-minute drive away. Sydney is a four-hour drive, and Canberra a two-and-a-half hour drive. Meringo is located on the lands of the Yuin people, to whom we pay our respects.

Meringo Beach Camp offers a serene escape with a mix of beach and bushland, perfect for those seeking tranquility and nature. The camp is well-equipped with rustic yet efficient amenities including hot showers and a covered cooking area, making it a comfortable stay for families and groups. Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of kangaroos and other animals that roam the spacious grounds. However, the presence of ticks has been noted, which campers should be aware of when planning their visit.

This is an incredible spot. Especially during the week when we had it to ourselves. Surrounded by kangaroos and a short walk to an almost private beach this place is a must of you love serenity and nature. Great walk possible along this incredible coastline. Flushing toilet and hot shower with a covered cooking area were added luxuries. Campsites 1, 2 and 3 surround a large communal fire area, sotes 4 and 5 are a little more private. Hosts were a pleasure to chat to - we hope to return many times. Cost is appropriate to help support these rural communities keep these beautiful spots available for us to enjoy and not in the hands of the developers! Enjoy.

Beautiful camp spot. We were lucky enough to have it to ourselves but would be a great place to get a few families/group together. The rustic amenities were very well appointed, a beautiful fire pit to gather with tonnes of dry wood. Lots of cooking apparatus’ available. Swings for kids in the trees and kangaroo’s around. We hope to be back one day soon! Thank you

Five star spot!

The camp sites at Meringo are very spacious with beautiful rural views. There are lovely large trees to add shade when needed. The amenities shed is better equipped than most Airbnb’s and the shower has great water pressure. The beach is a short walk away and was delightfully deserted. Will’s father met us on his little gator and we had a lovely chat. We would highly recommend this spot.

Location, Amenities, host! Absolutely spectacular and will definitely be heading back. Perfect way to end the holidays and disappointed to leave. The mix between beach and bush was brilliant not to mention the serenity, everyday conveniences and exceptional host.
