Saliet. (Chalèt in italian)A working cattle and sheep family property on the Dumaresq River the NSW/QLD border. Just south of the Granite Belt wine country. Glenlyon dam is just up the road. 70km west to Texas and east to Tenterfield Home of Bruxner's Run Vineyard and winery. Currently in the process of setting up a vibrant venue...... with wine ;) Opportunity to relax in the absolute peace and quiet while being just off the highway. There is fishing, walking, and relaxing to be done as well as sightseeing local dams and towns (you are on holiday after all.)

Newfarm site 1

We loved camping at Newfarm on the banks of the river with the view to the mountains on one side and the river on the other side. Enjoyed watching the birds and a dip in the river. Maree is a friendly host.

A big property that has everything!!! Good for casual camping by the creek. Excellent dark skies for the astro photographer - some excellent foreground subjects. Loads of photo opportunities for the casual photographer. The hosts are kind and accommodating people that provide excellent intel on this big an diverse property.

We enjoyed the walks, the views and the sunsets. Camping on Saliet was peaceful with plenty of space and level ground.
