Welcome to our cob home! For those who are new to the concept; cob houses are made of clay-like lumps of soil, sand, and straw. We are eco friendly and off grid making it the perfect getaway from the big city. Located on a private property surrounded by beautiful, natural state forest. Our cob house includes: 2 bedroom (1 queen + 2 singles) Outdoor shower (tank water) with gas hot water Fully equipped camping kitchen for cooking Outdoor fire pit Composting toilet system Kitchen: The kitchen has a gas cooker with pots and pans as well as cooking utensils, some cooking essentials (oil, salt & pepper etc) and a full size fridge. There is no oven or microwave, this is off grid living. Bathroom: Located outside which runs hot water. Our water is filtered from our dam and gas heated. Toilet: There is a composting toilet system. Super easy to use, firstly, there is no flush button; after using the toilet please sprinkle some wood shaving in the bowl, this covers your business, immediately neutralizes any smells and prompts the natural decomposition process. Phones/Wi-fi: You may or may not have reception depending on which provider you are with but again… this is off grid living, just enjoy the space! We thank you again for supporting our small business. Unique and creative house
With kids
A unique escape from it all surrounded by nature. Unwind and relax whilst marvelling at the construction and thoughtful details of this house. Our kids also loved all the toys and games and we all had a tinker on the various musical instruments! We also made sure we said hi to the peacocks, sheep and alpacas.

Staying in the Cob House was an amazing experience and unlike any accommodation we have stayed in before. We loved the house, the animals and the amazing valley that the property is located in. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend a weekend. Thank you Mel & Tom we hope to be back again soon

The Cobb house was great - we were looking for something that was camping but not camping. The Cobb house did not disappoint, we loved staying there. It was magical for the kids - they felt like "ground fairies"! The sunset peacock visit and outdoor shower were highlights.

We loved staying in such a unique and comfortable home. The surroundings were beautiful, private and so peaceful. We loved the use of recycled materials and can appreciate the amount of work that went into creating such a magnificent building.

Just stunning!
Absolutely stunning and cosy property. We had the best time and can’t wait to return! The house is so beautifully designed and all the arty books and objects kept us entertained. Was lovely to switch off from the outside world for a little while.
