Unfortunately a bad experience
13 ft pop-up camper · With kids
Unfortunately our time at this hipcamp wasn’t the best, on arrival the host was away and we were to find our own way to camp, then when we did find camp we made sure we left a good amount of space between us and the other camper up top to then have a 2wd pull up next to us and pitch their tent right at the back of our van, they were not self sufficient as when we were making our tea we looked up to find old mate having his toilet break outside in front of everyone. We felt bad for accessing the rock beach water front as you have to walk through others sites. We decided to leave 2 days early because of this and the mosquitos were bad but when we went to leave we got stuck trying to get up the big hill as it was a mud slide and very steep. Another camper who had arrived on our 4th attempt at getting our caravan up this hill stopped and helped us finally get up it was such an anxious time and with the owner not being home this whole time we wouldn’t know what to do if anything bad had happened. We have been hipcamping since 2018 and this is our first sad review! I think if the host was more available on arrival and checked other campers were self suffice it might be a better experience

Wonderful river spot!
Tent
We loved camping on the river at Nicole’s property. Ignore all the reviews about mosquitoes, just invest in a good bug spray (we used Bushman’s) and you’re good to go! The property was calm and peaceful, easy to find. We loved the horses and the labradors were super friendly, also free canoes and stand up paddle board to enjoy the river. Cannot recommend more!
