Welcome to EJT Retreat! If you love to escape to the outdoors, but also love to have a few everyday comforts close by, this is a perfect spot for you. Situated on just under 2 acres, this 18’x30’ cabin is built into a hill, and offers a beautiful view of our natural pool pond and tree-line. Our property shares a border with the beautiful Wayne National Forest, which provides acres and acres of public land to explore, literally right in the backyard.The cabin is an 18’x30’ structure built into a hill, surrounded by the beautiful Wayne National Forest. A perfect spot for sitting on the deck, swimming in the natural pool pond, soaking in the cedar hot tub, relaxing by the fire, or exploring the surrounding woods. As the only site on our property, guests will enjoy all the space to themselves. If it’s tent camping you prefer, there are several spots surrounding the cabin you are welcome to set up your tent. Features of the cabin: -Queen size mattress -Futon couch -Cots for use upon request -Portable A/C unit -Wood burning stove -Kitchenette with essentials -Mini-fridge -Shower -Flush toilet -Cedar hot tub -TV -Starlink satellite internet Please note: while we have the max occupancy at 5, just a reminder that there is one queen bed, one couch/futon, and 3 cots available. The cabin is just one room so all persons will be sleeping in one area. We understand this may not be for everyone but are happy to help accommodate any ways we can.

We had such a great stay! The cabin and surroundings were amazing — peaceful, beautiful, and just what we needed for a getaway. The amenities were awesome (special shoutout to the outdoor fun and amenities!). Esther was super attentive, flexible and understanding, which made the whole experience even better. Honestly, we enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning our next visit! Highly recommend!

Peaceful retreat

Quiet and peaceful. A minimalist dream, having a shower and a flush toilet to come back to after a long day out hiking was just the ticket for me. Also a nice soak in the hot tub was a welcome bit of luxury for my old bones. Sitting on the deck grilling my dinner listening to the spring peepers in the pond and the call of a Hawk nearby. I even woke up and got to see the blood moon and the eclipse in the middle of the night, while getting some extra time in the hot tub. Was a great couple of days and just the recharge I needed before heading back to work.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. It's not far from town but very quiet, and feel very private. The hottub was great for relaxing after a day of hiking, and was plenty warm even when it was 20 degrees out. We'd love to come back if we are in the area again.

Wonderful host

We had TWO deaths in the family and couldn’t come. Esther graciously refunded our money even though that isn’t the policy. I plan to stay here next time I’m in Hocking Hills. Thank you so much.

Relaxing fall weekend

The cabin is cozy and very private. Having the outdoor tub to soak in after a long day of hiking was the best medicine. The property looks great and on my next visit I want to wander up the hill behind cabin to see the views from a higher vantage point.

Group trip

The property offers plenty of privacy along with many sights and sounds of nature; such a nice break from city life. The hot tub was perfect, and didn't make our skin feel dry and itchy from chemicals like many of the others we've soaked in. The place has everything you need and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin and hope to return in the future.
