The Preserve is inside of a Nature Preserve which is located inside of a very exclusive and private piece of secluded land. No one but you will be on the property while it is rented through Hip Camp. The Preserve is registered butterfly habitat and a U.S. Dept of Agriculture farm. Although no farming takes place, and hasnt for decades there are ample opportunities to find black berries, mushrooms, Paw Paws and a plethora of edibles throughout the property. The Preserve offers 1.5 miles of hiking trails, a celestial viewing area, archery target trail, 2 very small ponds, a creek and a wet land. The place has a primitive camp site to park a trailer and truck, and a very nice quaint cabin with a front porch and a romantic fire pit and ring. Located just 3.4 miles from Albany and 8 miles from Athens Ohio.Park your vehicle, park your camper, park your tent and stay in Ohio's most unique private and primitive camping area. This place is fun and exciting and offers exclusive privacy..view butterflies, deer, rabbits, birds, bees unbelievable amounts of wildflowers and plants growing in the forest-meadow and wetlands.

Private, dog friendly, gorgeous

We had an amazing time that this campsite. We were the only campers on the whole property, which was very large. The property has hiking trails and many beautiful native plants and edible plants. The area is so quiet and secluded. We tent camped but there is also a small shelter that was available to us. There is also a pond and creek on the property! Our dogs had a great time too... Kevin, the host was very kind and responsive. We 100% recommend this property and would love to camp here again.
