Primitive tent camping on the Greenville Peace Treaty Line, Buckeye Trail, Ohio-Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Scenic Byway, Tuscarawas River Water Trail, and the Great American Rail Trail! Located on the historic Ohio-Erie Canal between the village of Bolivar Ballparks and the McDonnell trailheads on the towpath trail ten miles south of Canton, Ohio, and 1.5 miles west of I-77 exit 93 on Scenic Byway Rt 212 in beautiful Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The Peace Park is designed for bikers, hikers, dog walkers, and anyone traveling through to book a campsite even if anyone isn't available to meet and greet. Campers, once booked may go to an available campsite and set up camp. Dog-friendly, handicapped-accessible Porta-Jon with hand sanitizer shared electricity for charging phones, pristine aquifer water, picnic tables, fire-pits, fireside benches, birds, butterflies, lightning bugs, wild turkey, deer, and other wildlife are often seen. Please note: We're located on a section of the Ohio-Erie Canal Scenic Byway, the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad, and a 90-degree corner with a slight slope that causes trucks to downshift brakes. We recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper!Primitive tent camping on the Greenville Peace Treaty Line, Buckeye Trail, Ohio-Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Scenic Byway, Tuscarawas River Water Trail, and the Great American Rail-Trail! Toilet available
Portable toilet. We added a handicapped accessible Porta-potty with hand sanitizer on May 19th, 2020! The Porta-Jon will be unavailable out of season between Nov through April. A porta-jon is available during the off-season at the local ballparks a few hundred yards east on the trail.

We have picnic tables available at each campsite just off the towpath trail.

Legal and Cheap
Tent
When you are walking across America from coast to coast there are not many campsites along the way. It is a real struggle to find a legal and cheap place to spend the night, so having this campsite was a real blessing. I would recommend it to all long distance travelers on foot or bicycle.

Very basic camp spot, but ideal for access to the towpath. Some yard work/mowing would help keep the bugs away. Joe was informative and responsive.

Want a easy going place to relax.... this is it... good parking... enough location for tents and tables and games... close to river... right on the walking trail... price was decent and wood price was satisfy... would stay here again... to bad the river was up so this was strictly a camping trip

I recently had the pleasure of staying at TTPP, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a serene environment that instantly made us feel at ease. The campsite itself is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities and well-organized spaces that cater to tents. The natural beauty surrounding the area is simply breathtaking, with lush greenery, picturesque trails, and a tranquil lake perfect for fishing and kayaking. Each morning, waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves was a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. What truly stood out, the owner/operator went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Providing helpful tips on local attractions , their dedication was evident in every interaction. In conclusion, TTPP Campground offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and camaraderie. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway. We will leave with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return soon.
