After I had booked the site & received a confirmation, the host texted me & tried to raise the rate from $30/night to $250/night! I texted the host back several times but they would not respond, so I texted Hipcamp Support. Fortunately, they said that my confirmed reservation would be honored. Thank you, Hipcamp!
When we arrived at the RV site, we were extremely disappointed. 😩 The photos on the Hipcamp website are NOT representative of the available RV sites. The campsites are NOT located by the pretty little pond in the photos! There was actually an old broken down, unoccupied mobile home right there in the park. This is an RV park for full-time residents with a couple of empty slots in between. The whole place was unkempt with stuff strewn everywhere, and there were large barking dogs beside one of the spots we were offered. 😝
As soon as we arrived at the RV park, we decided NOT to stay there—even though we knew we would lose our money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!
P.S. The host told us that Hipcamp Support had not responded to them in 3 years! WHAT??! Hipcamp Support responded to me in less than 24 hours! The only ones who wouldn’t respond to me were the hosts. 🤦🏼♀️
This was more of a place for permanent residents than occasional campers. The campsites were not well maintained, trash strewn about and it was just not a good first Hipcamp experience.
We did not stay. The place was so sketchy we didn't feel safe. There were large dogs lose and aggressive, yeah overflowing, an area where someone had burned yeah and non- working water. Looked like people living in their old rundown campers. Would not recommend.
Great spot! We had a great stay in Oklahoma, the spots were nice and flat and the entire campground was easy to find from the highway. The hosts are very friendly and are adding in even more spots to their lovely campground.
