Memorial experience at the Yurt!
With kids
We loved staying here in the yurt. It was so well set up, a private area with own kitchen, sinks, showering and washroom. The decor was so unique and made us feel connected to the outdoors. The Yurt had the clear dome at top to see the stars at night which was very cool, and it has solar power to recharge phones and devices. We had our own little outdoor oasis. The hosts were very helpful with directions, ideas, and information (with a book in the rooms too)! They also had cute little inspirational notes which my 10 yr old daughter was so excited to open and read every night and morning, and a variety of games to play. They have built a magical little get away and I would definitely recommend to others it was an amazing experience ❤️

We loved the remoteness of the Yurt! What a great way to relax, leaving the busy world behind! It was also close enough to the things we wanted to see on the island, like Bridal Veil Falls and Cup and Saucer. Our visit was an amazing adventure.

Peaceful and comfortable
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Black Birch Yurt. It's a great option for those who seek nature and peace but would like to stay more comfortably than in a camping tent. There are three sites on the property (two others are cabins) but they are spaced out so we haven't seen other people at all during our 2-day stay. The Yurt is beautifully decorated and spacious, and the surroundings are basically pristine forest. The town of Gore Bay with several restaurants and a coffee shop is just a few minutes drive away, and the Cup and Saucer hiking area is within less than a half hour drive. Highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Awesome Black Birch Yurt
Sarah and her husband, Scott have given a lot of thought to their set up, and it's great. They supply nearly everything, that most of our camping gear never came out of our vehicle. They have three different site stays on their property and each are a good distance from each other with their own walking paths that you hardly know anyone else is around. As experienced canoe/campers, we felt surrounded in luxury. I loved that we could pick a few fresh veggies from the little garden and loved the landscape plantings and decorating touches too. If you would like to try camping but just can't stand the thought of sleeping on the ground you will love a stay in the black birch yurt. If we ever do a traveling vacation again in this area, we definitely would consider staying here again.
