We are located along the beautiful St Mary's river. The St Mary's river offers fishing, boating, canoeing, water boards, and kayaking. The camping site is in an open grassed area or tent under the Pines. It is rustic camping with one outhouse. Generators are welcome. There are many different species of birds on the property. Enjoy tranquil sunsets and beautiful sunrises, and the night skies. Hiking trails 15 minute drive. Groceries, shopping are located within a 10 minute drive. You can pitch a tent in an grassed area or pull in with a RV. The site is located along the beautiful St. Mary's river. Several different species of birds are located on the property. The site is pet friendly. Open area for lawn games. Picnic tables are available. Fire rings for small fires are available. Sunsets are amazingly beautiful. Limited light noise, so the stars and moon are bright. Shopping is 10 minute drive.

Lookiing forward to our next trip: unfortunately due to work issues, I/we were unable to travel this weekend. Hopefully, a credit will be issued OR used for a future trip but that will up tp the provider.

We were disappointed
Tent
This is an overpriced site and many of the amenities listed were not available. It is an open field with an option to put a tent in the trees as advertised. The host asked that we message them the day before our arrival for further instructions but we did not receive a reply when we did. The listing mentions potable water, garbage bins, fire rings, picnic tables, and cooking facilities, but these were not available at the site, and when we messaged to ask for clarification we did not get a reply. The picnic tables we found were in a pile next to the field with old broken tables, presumably from the campground further down the lane. The site was quiet and star gazing was nice, and there was a portable toilet. The views of the water are from the real campground nearby which we walked to, but not from the site listed here. We were disappointed by the cost and the lack of communication.

12 ft pop-up camper · With pets
I'm not a big fan of HipCamps where you're set-up in direct view of the house (I was in a small teardrop trailer; tent campers may have access to a more secluded spot here) but, that said, with a bit of strategic trailer positioning the view out my window was the river, and later a lovely sunset accompanied by loon calls. Plus, even with the proximity to dwellings, this is still way better by far than spending the night in a transient site of a seasonal campground on the way to Algoma country. Thanks for sharing your space Sue.
