This property has two river campsites and two campsites in the woods. The river sites are separated by a small patch of woods, so if you are looking for complete privacy, Hill Top or Hill Side is the place to go. Please follow the "arrival instructions" as most GPS directions are not accurate. I drive a 2009 Honda Civic with 6" clearance daily up and down the road to the camp sites and have never had an issue.
The campsite by the river offers a peaceful and private retreat, perfect for those looking to relax by the water or enjoy some paddling and fishing. John, the host, is frequently praised for being attentive and ensuring everything is ready for guests upon arrival. Many reviews highlight the scenic beauty and seclusion, with clear skies for stargazing and easy river access for activities. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, a few reviews mention the need for a 4x4 vehicle during bad weather due to the steep, gravelly road.
We had a wonderful stay here, everything was just perfect! Did some paddling and fishing and lots of relaxing. Awesome spot and an awesome host, planning our next trip already!
Great camp site by the river, secluded and peaceful. The host had everything ready for us when we arrived. It was a wonderful night stargazing and listening to the river. Thanks for sharing your wonderful spot by the river.
We really liked the Hipcamp. John let us park our camper in a field close by instead of trying to squeeze into the site. The river was nice and it was really dark and quiet. We.will stay there again if we get down that way again. All of the sites are good.
We had a great time camping here! Plenty of space and very peaceful.
One thing to note is that the river seems to be higher currently than it was in the pictures, so it's more of a drop off than a flat landing.
