Located opposite a cherry orchard close to supermarkets and food outlets, the property has land for off grid self contained camping and caravans. Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the property. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.Enjoy the peace and quiet nestled amongst native trees and listen to the vast array of lorikeets, cockatoos, kookaburras, Rosellas, and native animals, We have all grass sites available and plenty of space to spread your wings. Fire pits are welcome and we can supply eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables for a small fee. Kids and fur babies are most welcome. Although there is a dam on site please be careful as its not fenced.

We loved staying on Rob and Lisa’s property, short drives to everything of interest and Rob’s knowledge of the area was gratefully received. These guys gave us a wonderful Tasmanian warm welcome, there hospitality and warmth will bring us back for sure, fresh eggs each day was an added bonus, fire pits allowed, area is gated, easy to find and it is a quiet spot with water access if you need to fill up. Rob is a guy that you easily warm to, he just makes your heart smile !

Great spot

Great spot, within 20 minutes of Hobart Centre , but felt we were out in the countryside. No facilities (other than water) as expected but more than compensated by the space - we had the field to ourselves. Loved it!

Great location near Richmond

Sunnybanks is a lovely flat space with limited sites to give room to each van. The hosts were lovely - really friendly and generous with the use of kindling and firewood on the property. It was closer to the road than we expected, so didn’t have that sense of privacy, but we still enjoyed our stay.

Rob & Lisa some of the nicest most knowledgeable host’s we have come across absolutely oerfect site for visiting hobart with our doggys in tow. Trampoline for the kids. And 10mins to a big iga and small town services pharmacy bakery etc of brighton tas

Rob and his wife were very friendly and made sure we were comfortable on their property. There was plenty of space and we were able to fill our water tanks before departure. Recommended.

On the fringe of Hobart

Rob & Lisa were welcoming and helpful and open to any feedback. The location is excellent, close to Hobart, Richmond, wineries and shopping. We stayed 6 nights and used this as our base and even day tripped down as far as Southport. Unfortunately the road noise was consistent as it seems to be on a thoroughfare and the sites are at the front of the property.
