Billabong Flats Farm is a 100 Acre property enhanced by 1km of King River access in the heart of Wangaratta, North East Victoria. It has an abundance of birdlife including Kookaburras, Kingfishers, Blue Wrens, Cormorants and many types of water birds. The property is in a fantastic location to the Wangaratta township as it is only 1.5 kms drive into town to get all your supplies if required including, Aldi, Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphys, Kmart, Camping Stores, Petrol Stations, Cinema, Bowling Alley and the wonderful choice of Hotels, Restaurants and Take away options if required. Mains water is available at the property to top up your Vans or Gerry cans should you need to replenish, so never run out of water 😊 It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and the King River Site and White Cedar sites have a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones. The river is ideal for swimming, tubing, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

Riverview Camp -no swimming hole

We've had a fantastic stay at Billabong Flats. The host was very friendly and easy going. Sites are spacious and well spaced out. Kids loved visiting farm animals each day. Thank you for wonderful stay.

Secret Island River View Site

Amazing spot by the river. Pristine and well-maintained. Dogs loved it and caught a couple of fish. Secluded and exclusive use of site policy. Even though there were 3 other sites, we didn’t see anyone. Kerryn was so easy to communicate with and came down to greet us.

White Cedar River View Site

Unbelievable farm stay. A must for anyone looking to stay in wangaratta. The host... amazing to say the least. The farm... breath taking, so clean, full access to the King River, fire wood in abundance, so quiet yet 5 minutes from the heart of wangaratta. Will be coming back many, many more times. Oh and the fishing is next level.

Secret Island River View Site

We had an amazing stay at the secret island site and would highly recommend staying here. The site itself is peaceful and private with a river running through for swimming etc. An added bonus was being able to bring our dog with us who also had the best time!

Super peaceful and secluded…we had a great time with our dogs and we are looking forward to coming back for a longer stay…lots of shade and river is beautiful!
