A 16 acre property, situated at the gateway to the Victorian high country, overlooks farmland and offers views of the mountains with some untouched bushland aswell as cleared grassy areas.
No amenities so campers need to BYO everything they need including camping toilet and leave no trace. Grey water disposal accepted.
Campsites are located at the bottom of the property in vicinity to the irrigation channel where the best views of the mountains are kept. Please refer to the property rules for information about the water way. The sites lie about 150m from the property houses so there will be no disturbance for guests or ourselves.
Firewood is available and for sale. Please purchase firewood when booking site. Campfires in fire pits, conditions permitting.
A car club runs races nearby on certain weekends. Noise may be heard. Check the event calendar in photos.
We welcome vaccinated dogs to the property.
Rivers, fishing, wineries, the high country and more are all close by. An information pack for guests will be sent after booking on how to access the property and camp sites!
Example: I loved tent camping at Pear Tree Farm! The views were beautiful and directions were clear. There was another site nearby but it wasn't too loud. My kids loved feeding the farm animals!
It does say a 16acre property but their is only 5 sites - All side by side to each other. The gateway is too narrow. We made it through with only a bit of space either side of our caravan (Length - 5mts). We were on Site 1 - great view over looking farmland.
There was only 1 other group of campers and they were right next to us on Site 2. They returned back to the campsite at 10.30pm shouting to each other. They were noisy until after midnight. "No Camp Etiquette" - just our bad luck on this particular weekend. The "Dirt road" down to the sites is in desperate need of repair and maintenance.
It's expensive at $10 per person per night for a only a site plus Hipcamp service fee and gst (didn't realize) Total cost 2 nights $47.92.
We only stayed 1 night due to the noisy camp neighbor's. Went somewhere else which had far more space and privacy.
We did enjoy the fire pit which was provided.
Good quite and spacious area. Plenty of shade. Bit difficult to get into the property with a 17”6 van though. Narrow gateways and tight turns. Other than that, beautiful place to stay
Easy to find, got my van in no problem which is saying a lot because it was the first time I had taken it out!
This was also the first time I booked with Hipcamp so was not 100% sure what to expect!
Nice spot was mostly peaceful and a nice view.
I just relaxed and read so did not explore the area.
Just unfortunate that some other campers decide to play very very loud music on one of the nights, sounded like a rave party!
Luckily it was shut down before 10pm.
We loved the stay at Linga Longa Site 1. Great spot for a country retreat. We used it a s a base to explore some of the High Country and surrounding area. Easy to get to with great directions and Ross was very helpful with things to do in the area.
