I’m Browning Hollow is an adorable campsite on the bank of the East Satsop River. Privacy all around. We are just outside of sleepy little Satsop, WA and just a mile outside of Schafer State Park. The site is big enough for multiple trailers, campers or just some good old fashioned tent camping. room for reunions or family get togethers. multiple parking spots and restroom on site. Come play some corn hole with your friends or just relax by the river with a book and watch the bald eagles fish. This is a great site for fishermen and women as it has an IDEAL fishing hole. (Be sure to check your regs for seasons.) Great fire pit perfect for sitting around and roasting smores. Firewood and starters included!! Lots of room to spread out with almost an acre of camping space. This campsite is just a quick drive or a two minute walk from the main house but is completely secluded and private. Pitch a tent or two or drive your trailer in and don't worry about turn around space. Firewood is provided and an adorable firepit is available to use as long as fires are permitted (Check the season and the local fire dept for regs.) Lots of green trees and a big open sunny area to lounge. Site is just a mile before the beautiful Schafer State Park and is ON the East Satsop River.

Peaceful spacious spot right on the river. Great distance to Schaffer state park for additional exploration. Loved all the nice extras like the boat and corn hole, chairs and solar lights. Porto Potty was the nicest I’ve see

What an amazing place! Nice soft grass, beautiful setting and well cared for. Lots of little extras like a boat, propane fire pit, hot dog/marshmallow grilling sticks and corn hole game. Super clean port-a-potty. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

Great site to camp with friends
Tent · With pets
We had such a wonderful time hanging out with friends, taking advantage of the river access, fishing, boating in the small boat, and relaxing. We were so thankful for the very clean port-o-potty and for the spacious site. We brought our own additional tables, screens, and shade canopy which made the stay more comfortable. Most of us did not adequately prepare for the weather to be as chilly as it was at night until late morning. Aberdeen is a quick drive from the campsite if you need anything extra. There is an abundance of wildlife so please make sure to secure all food in a car, locking bins, coolers, etc., to keep the area clean.

Tempted to not leave a review because I would like to keep this spot a secret as much as possible. Wonderful peaceful little piece of land backed up to the river with decent fishing for the kids. Everything provided was in working order and clean. Just a great experience overall.

We originally booked this site as the first leg of a driving journey down to Oregon. Forget Oregon…We’re ready to come back and spend an entire week at Browning Hollow. I enjoyed kayaking while the husband fished. Our pups were happy swimming in the river. Our hosts kindly provided a propane campfire and tank since there was a burn ban. The bathroom was spotless and was even stocked with mosquito repellent wipes! This is one of our top Hipcamp bookings. We’re betting that we will have to book pretty far out in advance as this place is going to become extremely popular. Thank you for sharing the beautiful space. Lisa and Rafael

Real hidden gem. Jon’s place was really awesome and private. Beautiful setting right on the river that you don’t have to share with anyone. Kids had a great time fishing and messing around on the small boat. Jon provided pretty much everything that we would need for our stay. He provided propane tank and firepit after fire ban was in effect. Bathroom was clean which my wife was thrilled about. He was very welcoming. Checked in on us before and after visit. Will be back.
