Near Olympic National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Elwha.
Beautiful flat prairie surrounded by trees nestled between salt creek beach area with incredible hiking & surfing and the Olympic National Forest. There are several areas to pitch a tent but we prefer right near the little homemade camp fire. The driveway is a bit steep with a beautiful tree welcoming campers but once you get to the top, it’s smooth hiking.Pitch a tent on our awesome Camp Mateo land and be less than ten minutes from the beautiful salt creek beach area and about twenty minutes from the Olympic National Forest. There is a small fire ring but check to see if there is a fire ban in place, if not feel free to enjoy a camp fire. There are several flat areas and many wooded areas. Our land is six acres of prairie and woods. It had a neighbor to each side of it. The fire pit is on the far ride side of our territory and the driveway is the left, our land is in between those two markers straight back to the woods. Our land isn’t wet land but can get a bit wet near the wooded areas. There is a family of deer who live on our land and are very curious about people.
